GEM Vision

There is a tremendous amount of research and development underway to create cleaner engines by auto makers and transportation companies.

The GEM NEV is a zero-emission vehicle that has been designed to replace an internal combustion engine car for short trips.

An internal combustion engine pollutes the most when you start the car up and when the catalytic converter is not warm. Using a GEM for short trips instead of an internal combustion engine vehicle reduces this problem.  

In the past, critics of electric Motorcars have complained that while these motorcars don't pollute locally, their power is generated somewhere, and subsequently their benefits are reduced by having a coal burning or nuclear energy source. But since the GEM is designed for lower speeds and weighs less than conventional cars, it requires less energy. As a result, the environmental impacts of the GEM are far less than those of conventional cars.

The United States uses 1/4 of the world's energy resources; the GEM can play an instrumental role in energy conservation efforts.
